Summer Garden Party Wedding in Newland, Gloucestershire
I first met with Hannah and Adam in 2014 to discuss their wedding plans, and I got excited about it from the start, their plans sounded amazing, and the day was even more than I could have imagined. Beginning with a surprise helicopter ride for Adam from the Celtic Manor, best quote ever: “who’s that rich bastard coming into land”. And I was very lucky enough to experience the flight too, landing in the field next to Hannah’s parents house in Gloucestershire. The grounds were all set for the most amazing day, with the grandest of marquees set up, rose gardens, swimming pool, beautiful hand painted signs, and so much more. We walked to All Saints Church, which is just next door for the most beautiful and emotional of services, and after a crazy burst of confetti we all walked back to the reception, which included oysters, champagne, and some amazing canapés, with the sound of a string quartet in the background, and the very talented Picasso Griffiths showing off his artistic skills. The afternoon was so relaxed and fun, then we all headed into the marquee for the wedding breakfast, with the most incredible pies! The speeches that followed were hilarious, loved Dan’s (best man) stories – or lack of – about Adam’s shenanigans! We headed out for some lush golden hour shots, and Hannah thew her gorgeous peony bouquet for the girls to wrestle over, much to Rachel’s (maid of hour) annoyance, she didn’t catch it! We cut the cake and got straight into the first dance, their song “Can’t take my eyes off you” was played live by The Supertones – all the way from London! And then to finish the night off in style, we were treated to a spectacular firework display! What an incredible day it was! Very happy photographer!
Humongous thank you to Sian Owen for second shooting
